Westfield Square: Beyond the Shopping

Looking for something a bit different in West London? Head to Westfield Square, the outdoor area near Wood Lane station that's packed with activities, experiences, and dining spots worth the trip. Whether you're planning a date night, a weekend catch-up with friends, or just fancy doing something other than browsing, this is where it all happens.
Challenge Accepted
Fancy some friendly competition? All Star Lanes brings bowling, American comfort food, and cocktails together in one seriously stylish spot. Whether you're aiming for strikes or just enjoying the atmosphere (and the loaded fries), it's the kind of place where everyone has a good time – skill level optional.
Puttshack takes mini golf and gives it a tech upgrade with interactive obstacles, automatic scoring, and a bar for when you need refreshments between rounds. It's mini golf, but make it modern – and surprisingly addictive. No windmills, but plenty of bragging rights.
Hands-On & Messy
Social Pottery is perfect if you fancy making something with your hands instead of just buying it. Throw clay, paint ceramics, and leave with a bowl, mug, or vase you actually made yourself – wonky edges and all (we're calling it rustic). It's therapeutic, satisfying, and a brilliant way to spend an afternoon doing something completely different.
The Upside Down House does exactly what it says on the tin: it's a fully furnished house where everything's on the ceiling. Pop in for photos that'll confuse everyone's brain, and enjoy the novelty of walking on what should be the roof. Your camera roll will never be the same.
Exhibition hosts rotating immersive art experiences and installations throughout the year plus live performances and concerts that bring the space to life. Each one's different – from digital art to interactive displays – so there's always something new to discover. It's the kind of space that makes you feel cultured without requiring a degree in art history.
Work It Out
City Bouldering offers climbing walls for all levels – whether you've never climbed before or you're a regular on the wall. No ropes, no fuss, just you and the challenge of getting to the top. It's a proper workout that doesn't feel like one (until the next morning).
Bikesoup is part bike shop, part repair workshop, part café. Need a quick fix? Want to browse bikes? Just fancy a coffee surrounded by cycling enthusiasts? It's a welcoming spot for everyone, whether you're a serious cyclist or still working out what all the gears do – no judgment!
Hungry Yet?
All that activity works up an appetite, and Westfield Square has some excellent spots to refuel.
Java Whiskers combines two of life's best things: coffee and cats. Enjoy a drink and some snacks while friendly resident cats wander over to keep you company. It's the perfect spot for a proper break – and you'll probably stay longer than planned (they're very persuasive).
Westwood serves quality food in a relaxed setting that works for brunch, lunch, or dinner. The menu's full of crowd-pleasers, and it's the kind of place where you can take your time without anyone rushing you along. Settle in and stay a while.
Work Different
For remote workers and freelancers, Venture X offers flexible coworking space with everything you need: fast wifi, meeting rooms, and a community of professionals who also understand that sometimes home just isn't the right workspace (or the kitchen table's been claimed by someone else).
Everything you need for a brilliant day out – all in one place.
Keep an eye out for seasonal events and special experiences throughout the year. There's always something new happening at Westfield Square.
