House rules
Dear visitors to Westfield Ruhr Park,
To ensure that you always feel comfortable here, there are a few rules that need to be followed. We have therefore drawn up these house rules. The following points apply to the entire Westfield Ruhr Park site, in particular the shopping street and the car parks.

The regulations and road signs applicable to public roads also apply to traffic within the car park and must be observed, as must all other traffic regulations displayed within the car park.
No visitor may obstruct, disturb or endanger other people.
Customers must comply with all regulations issued by the relevant authorities. In particular, the following, amongst other things, are prohibited:
- the use of fire
- the storage of fuels and flammable items
- unnecessary use of the horn and causing a nuisance to third parties through exhaust fumes and noise
- leaving engines running unnecessarily and
- parking vehicles that are leaking fluids (e.g. oil/petrol)The customer must park their vehicle exclusively and precisely within the marked spaces, in such a way that unhindered entry and exit is possible at all times, including from neighbouring parking spaces.
Where parking spaces are designated for specific groups of customers or types of vehicle, the following rules must be observed:
a) Only vehicles in which ALL OCCUPANTS are female may be parked in WOMEN’S PARKING SPACES. Children are exempt from this rule.
b) Vehicles may only be parked in DISABLED PARKING SPACES in accordance with the provisions of the Highway Code.
c) In parking spaces with a specified maximum height limit, only vehicles with a total height below the stated maximum height may be parked. d) Vehicles may only be parked at the designated E charging points whilst an active charging process is taking place. Parking without a vehicle being connected and actively charging is prohibited. Once the charging process is complete, the charging point must be vacated immediately to allow access for other visitors.Should the customer fail to comply with these regulations, the operator is authorised, without further notice, to have the incorrectly parked vehicle removed by appropriate means at the customer’s expense.
The parking spaces and their facilities must be used with care and in an appropriate manner. Any damage caused shall be repaired at the customer’s expense.
Cleaning, repair and maintenance work on vehicles is prohibited throughout the entire car park. The display of advertising material of any kind is prohibited.
The car park is cleaned by the operator; however, any soiling for which the customer is responsible must be removed by the customer without delay. Failing this, the operator is entitled to have such soiling removed at the customer’s expense.
Vehicles are parked at the customer’s own risk. Only officially registered vehicles may be parked here. There is no security surveillance.
Playing music in the centre and in the car park is only permitted with the written authorisation of the centre management.
Any sale of goods on the premises requires the written authorisation of the management.
The distribution of leaflets, brochures or similar items is prohibited on the premises.
Cars and motorbikes must not be driven or pushed along the shopping street. For safety reasons, kick scooters, roller skates, inline skates, skateboards, e-scooters, Segways and similar vehicles – whether motorised, electric or muscle-powered – are also not permitted. Mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walking frames and pushchairs are, of course, exempt from this ban.
Dogs must be kept on a lead. Owners must clean up any mess immediately.
The consumption of alcoholic drinks is prohibited outside catering establishments.
Entry to and presence on the Westfield Ruhr Park premises are only permitted in appropriate clothing. Suitable footwear must be worn at all times. The genitals and buttocks must be completely covered. The upper body must be covered at least down to the navel. Anyone who does not meet these requirements may be refused entry or asked to leave the premises.
Instructions given by centre management staff and security personnel must be followed immediately. They have the right to remove persons from the shopping centre at any time.
Violations of the house rules will result in a ban from the premises. Where the legal requirements are met, a criminal complaint will also be filed in respect of all applicable offences.
Throughout Westfield Ruhr Park, photography and video recording are permitted solely for private, non-commercial purposes. Any use for commercial, journalistic or other non-private purposes requires the prior express written consent of Westfield Ruhr Park. Westfield Ruhr Park reserves the right to demand the immediate deletion of any unauthorised photographs or video recordings. In the event of unauthorised publication, Westfield Ruhr Park may demand the immediate removal of the content in question and the cessation of further infringements.
Camping and spending the night in vehicles such as cars, lorries, camper vans, etc. is prohibited throughout the entire site.
The unloading and disposal of waste not generated within Ruhr Park is prohibited. Violations will be prosecuted and reported to the authorities.
Feeding birds within the centre is not permitted.
Smoking and vaping are prohibited in all indoor areas without exception.
The use of drugs of any kind, including cannabis, is strictly prohibited throughout the premises. The consumption of alcohol is also prohibited; the only exceptions to this are catering establishments with a valid licence to serve alcohol.
